For Danielle Walker, green matters not only in the color of the stone or bead but in re-using items such as one-of-a-kind beads and gems from long forgotten trinkets. Danielle can take a combination of vintage plastic buttons, beads and gemstones and create something appealingly brand new, yet with a hint of the past for her Queen Bee Jewelry line.

Danielle’s devotion to jewelry and jewelry making comes from her childhood memories of her great-grandmother’s rings and the feelings evoked by trying on the jewelry. Her jewelry includes stones such as moonstone, labradorite, pearls, glass beads, pink quartz, and Russian amazonite which is thought to bestow truth, integrity and honor. Not only does each of the stones have a history of their own that can weave a legend of sorts but these tales become even more compelling when the stones and beads are intertwined into a fabulous earring, necklace, ring or bracelet. Danielle creates all her jewelry in her hometown of Vancouver Island in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, where you can find a wet and rugged west coast and a drier rolling east coast. When you take a peek at Danielle’s jewelry you can feel the influence of the beautiful nature of the island. The featured earrings are a representation of Danielle’s work. She loves using recycled beads whenever she can, and creating new pieces from forgotten adornments found in various places. Wire wrapping and hammering also speak to her. These earrings are bold yet wearable, and perfect with jeans, for work, or with your favorite LBD.  The hooks are bent lightly hammered memory wire with a bend in the crest of the hoop for comfort. The dangles are a combination of amethyst, pearls, plastic beads, citrine rondelles, and Russian amazonite briolettes.  The beads and gems have a history that has been revitalized by Danielle into an elegantly modern design.
