Jewelry is normally filled with beautiful diamonds and colorful gemstones but every so often someone has an idea for something quirky to get some attention. As a child I remember loving those plastic slap-on bracelets, kids these days are obsessed with Silly Bandz and now the newest odd addition to these child-like accessories are Braced-lets.

Ive been seeing a lot of people on Twitter and the blogosphere talking about these bracelets that are the brainchild of two Orthodontists and a jewelry designer. They are colorful rubber bands with little metal brackets that look like braces. Most children hate wearing braces so maybe these will make them feel less self-conscience about them. But some blogs report that adults are wearing these.
