
Today weve got an interview with Nana of Nana Stars*. Nana is a native of Japan with a very fun and artistic fashion sense. In addition to her beautiful photos and creative outfits, Nana also uses her blog to bring attention to and support the Red Cross. Read on to find out more about this social conscious fashionista:
Why did you start blogging? I first started blogging in order to improve my English and I wanted to record my favourite items and outfits.
What’s your favorite thing about blogging?
Even though I dont speak English very well and I am not a good writer, Ive got many friends all over the world. Blogging inspires and connects everyone regardless of nationality or age.
Do you have a favorite outfit? Why is it your favorite? I love looking girly, but not too sweet. I especially love wearing shorts, knee high socks and heels. It makes me look tall and its a good balance for me.
What are you working on right now? I am a worker bee right now I work for a Japanese language school as part of the student services staff. If I had some more free time I would love to take a trip and expand my world.
What’s the best advice ever given to you (with regard to fashion, blogging, or anything else)? Lets just embrace ourselves. (Like we enjoy fashion. We were talking about parts of our body that we hate.)
Any recommendations for people who want to start their own blog or get into fashion?
You can start a blog anytime you just need a camera and laptop. Fashion has no rules. You dont need a photographer I take photos by myself, by using a self-timer
Who is your style icon? Too many People who enjoy fashion.
Do you have any must-have accessories for this fall? Belts and scarves as always.
What are/were your favorite and least favorite fashion trends? Kimonos. Kimono jacket, floral prints like kimonos. I am biased on that.
